Music industry needs soap
I went to the MuchMusic Video Awards Party the other night and I discovered several things…
1) The Canadian music industry needs to discover soap. Seems to me that dirty hair and tattoos are all the rage. Tho I think that Canada is a little behind. Wasn’t that the LA music scene a few years back?
2) Cute girls still can sell tech stuff - Nokia rolled out its nextgen N-Gage mobile gaming platform at the party called the QD for some strange reason. aforementioned shampoo challenged party posers feigned interest in the QD when really they were interested in the very cute booth babe. It’s an immutable law of marketing.
3) Closed doors make people curious. The N-Gage area was kinda roped off because it was full of gear (including a new brick-like Nokia Communicator that does cell and Wi-Fi and Bluetooth) that Nokia was seeding to the celebs. And everyone wanted to know what was in the there and tried to talk their way in.
